Meeting Buddha - Journey of enlightenment

Before flying out from Hong Kong I thought I'd improve my spiritual energy by going to see the large bronze Tian Tan seated Buddha in the Ngong Ping area near the airport. It's a short train ride to get there and then you can either take an hour bus ride, walk or catch a skyrail cable car. Still not being able to shake my xmas cold I decided the quick cable option was the go and in feverish moment bought the package deal for the cable car, the Monkey Tales Theatre and Walking with Buddha. The journey to enlightenment costs HK$145 (A$58) at the moment! Bargain!

Buddhism is definitely worth checking out if you haven't read up on it before.

Buddhism is a tradition that focuses on personal spiritual development. Buddhists strive for a deep insight into the true nature of life and do not worship gods or deities.

Some photos of what can be another highly capitalist experience in HK!
