Did you know it takes 8 hours to go from London to London? After watching a film, eating a curry and the a late night out in the downtown bars of JP's youth on the 22nd. The next day JP and Beth took me to a final chow down (I didn't leave Canada hungry that's for sure! Thanks to JP and Beth for taking care of me :) I flew out from London, Ontario to Toronto in a small prop plane (45mins) before joining the larger plane to London UK. Noticed the guy next to me had given up on the audiovisual entertainment on the plane by pulling out a laptop with all of his favourite tv shows on it - good idea!
On arriving in London UK, I pick up my new (8 miles on the clock) hire car (Peugeot 207) and head off on the 2 hour journey west to the green green grass of Wales.....Take it away Tom Jones, (arguably one of the most famous Welsh singers)...
He's known as the British version of Elvis (they met in the 60's and apparently Tom who was doing Las Vegas shows inspired Elvis to do the same. As a big star at that time of course he recorded the opening song to the James Bond film Thunderball - Tom is still having hits and you might have heard some of his more recent hits such as this one - 'Sex Bomb' recorded in 2004.
