Sydney to Toronto

At 3pm on Friday December 15th having stayed up till 3am the night before getting a new microsite up and running for my company I was finally at Sydney airport ready for to start my round the world trip. First stop - destination Toronto to do the Canadian leg!

Was flying United Airlines - Not a bad flight but their in flight technology is so behind compared to the Australian/Asian airlines which all seem to give you a personal screen set into the back of the seat in front of you to select one of at least 16 channels. United has the single movie and mostly small screens dotted around the aircraft - This seems funny especially when every home in the US/Canada must have 100+ channels! A quick note if you haven't flown to the US before for a while - you're not allowed to take liquid carry on. Also got my shoes scanned when in transit in San Francisco and some face cream taken off me. If my skin looks very dry/red in later photos you'll know why :)

WARNING - May not be too many photos on this blog since my 4 year old trusty Fujifilm camera has started to take photos only in green and purple - not a good look. Will get one on this trip in Asia.

WARNING2 - Doing the SF to Toronto leg I found out that you have to pay for food on the flight and since I was going to get my CA$ in Toronto I had to last for 5hours on some biscuits and pepsi. Wish I'd got some CA$ in Sydney!

PS2 - If you have a google email account you can post comments on each of my blogs. I highly recommend a gmail account since the interface is great but I know yahoo and hotmail are catching up fast.
