Down to the USA (Detroit, Michigan)

On Monday, JP and I headed south from London, Ontario to Chatham and Essex where JP had a few business meetings in some local hospitals. After the meetings we headed across the border into the USA and Detroit where we going to meet up with Joe and Madeline who I'd last seen in Taiwan or Sydney. I think I'd only met Madeline couple of times in Sydney but I remember her easily since I thought she had a striking hairstyle - similar to Uma Thurman in Pulp Fiction. Strangely, the day I met Madeline was the same day/event where I met Janice. Of course the reason I met both of them was Joe who knows many many people.

Our rendevous point was Famous Dave's a bbq restaurant American style where the feast meal for two plus the sides was enough to feed the four of us! Them portion sizes are huge! Little known fact was that half of at the table were/are Asian and half the table was caucasian. Both JP and Joe are half and half whereas Madeline is Asian (Singapore) and I'm obviously the pale caucasian one :) with the red nose and eyes! More pictures can be found here!
