Arriving at 7.15pm local time, I was early but that was negated as United proceeding to lose one of my checked in bags which contained my coat! How did they do this - I checked them in together!!!
I am carrying two small carry on sized bags - one of which I will ditch before I get to Vietnam since I am carrying some Winter clothes/shoes which I won't need there and won't want to carry. After filling out my missing baggage form I emerged to be greeted by Janice Lee who I'd met in Sydney in at a birthday celebration at the Golden Sheaf pub around 2001 in Sydney when he was doing her one year working holiday in Australia after studying in Hong Kong. We went to Bistro 333 in downtown after checking into my hotel and then did a mini tour of the bars in the street before heading for a coffee at the Canadian coffee chain Tim Hortons. They don't do my favourite Soy Latte but I guess you've gotta go with what the locals drink eh? :) Although it was quite late one for Janice who was flagging especially with her dry contact lenses, for me 2am was 6pm and I was wide awake even after 18 hours of flying - probably helped by the coffee. Finally went to bed and sleep after sampling the 100+ Tv channels in my room for an hour.
